What is ECAT? It is acronym for “Engineering College Admission Test”. Test is compulsory for taking admission in public engineering universities. Test is offered for Pre-engineering/ Pre-I.C.S. /DAE /A-Level students in following combinations. >> Mathematic, English, Physics & Chemistry >> Mathematic, English, Physics & Computer >> Mathematic, English, Physics & Statistics Note: A-Level/Pre-Engineering students can select any combination. But for D.A.E/B. Tech. it’s necessary to choose chemistry as optional subject. Overview of Test: ECAT test consists 100 MCQ’s, each of them have 4 marks. There is also negative marking in it, for every correct answer there are 4 marks, on wrong answer -1 and if left it blank you get 0. Total time allowed for test is 100 mints.
